On Tuesday, 1st of June, the 4th live session of our course CFTS took place. This final session included a prototype demonstration along with a presentation of the finalized business models. Investment solutions dominated this year’s fintech startups created in CFTS, and it was interesting to see how each team distinguished itself from other teams tackling a similar issue. Now, we are looking forward for the business plans the student teams write about their fintech business models.

We were pleased to also have Susanne Krehl. After years of building business models around fintech, Susanne is currently founding her own fintech startup. She is also host of FinTech Stammtisch meet-up in Berlin. Susanne shared with us her rich experiences made during her journey in the emerging fintech industry. Her inspiring talk showed our students how a small one-office startup can beat fierce corporate competition with persistence and clear vision. She answered all of the students’ questions, for instance, about jobs in fintechs and the difference between working in a startup and creating one.
We thank Susanne very much for joining us and providing great insights into the reality of creating and expanding startups, finding co-founders or investors, and the importance of networking.
We wish our students the best of luck in their next steps, and we hope that they can take advantage of the opportunities we provided in this class.
