Explore fintech and the entrepreneurial process using a learning by doing methodology

Online Course Content

The recorded lectures and online sessions provide and discuss tools and methods of creating, visualizing, and analyzing digital business models (e.g., customer development, business model canvas, lean startup, design thinking).

In groups, students transfer and apply those tools to the fintech industry by creating, modeling, and pitching their own fin-/insurtech startup ideas.

Guest lectures of FinTech founders present real-world insights and experiences.

The examination includes a written project report (40%), presentations (50%), and class participation (10%). The course calculates 4 SWS and awards 5 ECTS.

To register for the course, please submit your name, student number, semester, master program, and a short proposal (max. 1/2 page) of an innovative business idea, if any, OR your unique competences & experiences you bring to a FinTech startup via StudOn within the registration period between February 10 – April 14, 2021.

Only registrations with complete information are considered. Firm confirmation of registration at the latest until April 16, 2021.

 Register until April 5, 2021 to secure the early bird confirmation of registration (80% of available places) — 

The number of participants is limited. In case of excess demand, participants are selected based on the business idea/diversification of competences (50%) and by drawing lots (50%). Mandatory registration for the course in the first session.
